To our valued customers,

We would like to inform you that beginning June 29th, TOTE Maritime Alaska will begin a phased implementation to suspend the shipment of electric vehicles(EVs), plug in hybrids, and roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) lithium-ion battery powered machinery indefinitely.

Although we’ve previously handled these shipments, the increasing complexity and risk have led us to pause this service indefinitely. We are committed to reviewing our safety procedures to ensure the continued protection of our vessel crew. Additionally, we believe this is the most responsible approach for our current operations as we evaluate future safety solutions.

Please see below for the effective dates applicable to new and used EVs, as well as lithium-ion battery-powered machinery.
